The Project

The oldest private bank in Geneva, Lombard Odier Investment Bankers, required a responsive design update to their existing corporate site. A big internal push was made to create more compelling industry related content and a new home page highlighting articles and video by key personnel within the company.

The site had to work on all devices, use pre-existing company brand guidelines while keeping with today’s cleaner more minimal design trends.

Result

The first task was to combine all content types into one cascading grid. Content was then tagged and ordered chronologically to ensure any new articles appear higher up the page complying with standard grid based patterns. Headline content is given special treatment and content blocks can have different layouts to give the grid more visual interest.

Article pages suffered from inconsistency in layout and a tendency to add in random pieces of content arbitrarily to keep higher user engagement. Side bars were removed, any related video is embedded and all extra content is displayed consistently in a grid underneath the content.
